On January 20th, we celebrated the donation of the Camelot Theatre from Ric and Rozene Supple to the Palm Springs Cultural Center, as well as the announcement of Eyoalha Baker being invited to be the inaugural Artist Residence.
For the next 3 months, Eyoalha will be setting up and doing jump for joy photos all over the Coachella Valley. She will then use the photos to create a mosaic of the photos for a Jump for Joy mural on the wall of the outside wall Palm Springs Cultural Center.
This photo was an attempt at a large group jump with some of the attendees at the event (jump photos are usually solo or in small groups of 5 or less for the mural).
This will be a lot of fun!
For more info and how to take part in the project (for those who live in the Coachella Valley) please send us an email: jumpforjoy@psculturalcenter.org
