Art uplifts! A jump of joy with Zully Reyes

Zully Reyes photographed by Eyoalha Baker for Jump for Joy Photo Project and Palm Springs Cultural center Artist Residency

For her jump of joy, Zully chose this vibrantly coloured mural on the Palm Springs High School campus as the backdrop. I love her expressiveness and creative jumping style. I also loved how the rest of the girls who were waiting for their turn to jump, excitedly cheered and supported each other’s jumps. This kind of supportiveness and excitement for each others success is such a valuable characteristic. I have great admiration for these students and am so glad that they are the future of this country.

Thank you Zully, for sharing your joy and for being you!
