Juan sharing jumping joy at Wong Farms

Juan photographed by Eyoalha Baker for Jump for Joy Photo Project and Palm Springs Cultural Center Artist Residency

I had the brief pleasure of meeting Juan Luis on his lunch break where he works – Wong Farms. He was the first of several farm workers to volunteer to jump. Regardless of our language barrier, jumping for joy translates easily into any language so it only took a couple of jumps (with me counting down in Spanish… well, I’m told by my assistant Joe that I may have been speaking some form of broken French-Spanish but he still understood the intention).

I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to include his playful, joyfilled energy – Thank you for sharing your joy Juan Luis!
