Jumping for joy through the gardens of Sunnylands with Beth Fromm

Beth Fromm photographed by Eyoalha Baker for Jump for Joy Photo Project and Palm Springs Cultural Center Artist Residency

We met up for our jumping photo shoot in the absolutely stunning gardens of Sunnylands. Beth had brought all kinds of fun scarves and hats to play with. Beth was just lovely and I’m happy she came out to jump around and share her joy.

Get to know a little more about what bring joy to Beth:

Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A:
To support artistic projects in the Coachella Valley and the Palm Springs Cultural Center.

Q: What was your experience doing the jumping photos?
A:
Curious before but put to ease immediately. Felt happy during and after.

Q: How do you describe the feeling of joy?
A:
Being more of a loner, most of my joy is derived from being pleased with what I have done and seeing positive reactions from those around me.

Q: What is your greatest passion in life?
A:
Two passions in no particular order: watching films and New York City. I need both in my life because they add so much personal enjoyment just having either surround me and both make my mind think.

Q: How do you feel about being part of a collaborative Coachella Valley community project that promotes joy?
A:
Pleased.

Q: What are you working on?
A:
I’m always working 40 – 60 hrs a week on Desert Film Society, searching for and programming their 12 months of new foreign and independent films.

Q: Mini bio or something special you want to share.
A: Loving living in Rancho Mirage. Have been here in the Desert full-time for 16 yrs, following being a snowbird for 2 yrs. Grew up in Baltimore and have lived in L.A. and N.Y.

Thank you for sharing your lovely presence and joy with us. Love the hats and scarves!
