A hole in one Jump for Joy with Bruce Harlin in Rancho Mirage

Bruce Harlin photographed by Eyoalha Baker for Jump for Joy Photo Project and Palm Springs Cultural Center Artist Residency

We met Bruce with his beautiful wife Nina at their mobile home in the Blue Skies Village mobile home park. He has a lovely, peaceful and inviting energy.

It was evident straight away that Bruce is naturally athletic and playful. We did a couple of jumps with the two of them together and then got this incredible hole in one jump at the tee (I’m not a golfer… I hope I got the terminology correct?).

Take a moment to get to know Bruce a little:

Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A:
Being in an ideal climate for sports and outdoor activities.

Q: What was your experience doing the jumping photos?
A:
I enjoyed it. The end result was exhilarating.

Q: How do you describe the feeling of joy?
A:
Full of life. Joy makes everything more rewarding.

Q: What is your greatest passion in life? Why?
A:
Being outdoors, playing sport and travel as well as interacting with people. It is life enhancing.

Q: How do you feel about being part of a collaborative Coachella Valley community project that promotes joy?
A:
It was a fun learning experience.

Q: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be? Are you working towards making it happen?
A:
Start a foundation to eliminate hunger in the USA. There is a need… too many people are going hungry. Not presently due to funding restrictions.

Q: What are you working on?
A:
I’m teaching tennis and pickleball.

Q: Mini bio or something special you want to share.
A:
I’ve been a tennis/pickleball coach for many years.

Thank you Bruce, for sharing your uplifting energy with the world.
