Maricela Wright shining bright and jumping for joy!

I love the vibrant, shining energy of Maricela. I met her and her twin sister Maribel at Palm Springs High School. They were the last two of a group of 18 students who came out to jump around and share joy with me. These two are amazing jumpers so it’s no surprise that they are on the track team.

I was really happy that they stuck around after the jumps to ask questions about my motivation for starting this project. I very briefly explained that I was going through a difficult time in my own life and I didn’t like the way I felt so I decided to create a project that embodies how I do want to feel, how I want to experience the world and interact with others. It’s a very fast version of why I started the project, if you are interested in a longer version of the story, take a look at my TEDxEastVAn Talk.

Thank you Maricela for sharing your beautiful energy and for sharing your joy!
