An uplifting jump of joy with Rick Sale in Palm Springs

Rick Sale photographed by Eyoalha Baker for Jump for Joy Photo Project and Palm Springs Cultural Center Artist Residency

Rick has a very nice presence. We met him at a Church that serves lunch to homeless and people who can’t afford to eat a healthy meal. He was a little shy at first and wasn’t sure if he would be able to jump very high, but came out behind the building to jump around and share some joy with us.

I love when people think they can’t jump, then see how amazing they look in the photo and their perception of themselves and what they can do is changed. That happened with Rick, he saw his photo and was amazed at his own jump 🙂

If you’d like to help out people in Palm Springs who need a hand up, please make a Donation to the Well in the Desert.

Thank you Rick, for taking a chance and doing something a little out of your comfort zone, thank you for jumping up and sharing your joy with us!
