Anika Arnold jumping for joy in a vegetable garden

Anika Arnold photographed by Eyoalha Baker for Jump for Joy Photo Project and Palm Springs Cultural Center Artist Residency

It was wonderful to meet Anika, along with several other Girl Guides who jumped for joy at the Demuth Community Center garden. We can buy anything we want at a grocery store and it’s easy to forget where food comes from, so it’s inspiring to see young intelligent girls learning how to garden and harvest vegetables. Anika knew exactly where and how she wanted to jump and we easily captured her flying up into the air.

Get to know a bit about Anika:
Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A:
Surprises make me jump for joy.

Q: How was your experience doing the jumping photos?
A:
Absolutely Fabulous.

Q: How do you describe the feeling of joy?
A:
It made a me really happy.

Q: What is your greatest passion in life?
A:
Make old things or trash into new things.

Q: How do you feel about being part of a community project that promotes joy?
A:
Great because it means I am part of a large group that also likes to be happy.

Q: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
A:
Make things out of old junk into new things, that people will buy.

Q: What are you working on or creating?
A:
Making miniature houses out of used boxes, paper and little toys.

Q: Mini bio or something special you want to share.
A:
My name is Anika Rose Arnold and I like to make creative things, treasure hunts, singing and family fun time.

Thank you for sharing your jumping joy Anika… and for gifting me a large lemon from the lemon tree 🙂
