We met Tina at her home and she was vibrant, not only in her colourful outfit selection, but also in her excited energy which was immediately contagious. We walked together to the tennis courts and all kinds of laughing and fun began. Her jumping stamina was impressive as we attempted to get the timing of tennis balls and her jump all at the same time.
So fun! And we even had a visit from Linda McAllister to share in the joy of the experience!
Get to know a little about what makes Tina jump for joy:
Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A: The ability to lace up my tennis shoes and head to the courts for some challenging games of doubles with good friends.
The warmth of my dog Nelson Mandela as he snuggles into my side for the night. The connection in my neighborhood in Palm Springs that has created a village of caring and fun filled people.
Q: What was your experience doing the jumping photos?
A: I felt jubilant and powerful and surprised at my ability to get some air! After I felt I could leap tall buildings in a single bound!
Q: How do I describe the feeling of joy?
A: Joy feels like sun on my face and a heart full of friends and shared experiences. Its impact is a feeling of contentment and satisfaction that my life has dimension.
Q: What is your greatest passion in life?
A: My greatest passion is the connections of friends and experiences. I am passionate about trying to make sure the underdog is served..
Q: How do you feel about being part of a collaborative community project that promotes joy?
A: I love being a part of this joyful expression of life! I think celebrating joy takes me to a place that is void of politics and world issues and allows the power of joyful exuberance to be the guiding light.
Q: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
A: If I could do anything in the world I would give everyone a full stomach and access to health care and a safe peaceful life.
Mini Bio:
I live in Palm Springs and am a retired flight attendant. I have access to the world and find it hard to leave here when this valley has so much to offer.
