Nina Harlan jumping for joy at Blue Skies Village in Palm Springs, California.

Nina Harlin photographed by Eyoalha Baker for Jump for Joy Photo Project and Palm Springs Cultural Center Artist Residency.

We (myself + Miriam, my volunteer assistant of the day) arrived at the gates of Blue Skies Village in Rancho Mirage, California and waited for Nina to come let us through the gates. The trailer park was originally founded by singer Bing Crosby in the 1950s as a weekend get-away and playground for his many Hollywood movie star friends.

As soon I met Nina I could feel her excitement and easy going, fun nature.

We drove in and parked in front of the mobile home of Nina and her lovely husband Bruce (his jump feature will be up soon as well, keep an eye out!).

They were both inviting, easy going and fun!

They started jumping right away in front of their mobile home and then we adventured out to play in the green space where we snapped this beautiful jump of Nina looking like a superhero!

Lots of great jump shots and lots of laughs 🙂
