“When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.”
– Patanjali

I love this quote. In the moments that I’ve felt most connected, alive and in the flow, I have absolutely been in service to a greater purpose. Its those moments when Im helping others, being goofy / playing around, laughing uncontrollably, creating photos that uplift, and make people feel good about themselves. Its when I hear that art I’ve created has inspired someone, gave them hope, improved their lives in someway or simply made them smile.

If I can create work that inspires joy in others, it expands my own feeling of joy. Its something I feel to my core, to my soul. I’m still not exactly sure how to put into words, but I know that my greater purpose is related to: creating and sharing joy with others through interactive experiences and art, by expanding and opening my heart to what is possible and including others in the process.

I tapped into it while creating the jump for joy photo murals over the past couple of years. When I’m in the creative process, playing and connecting openly and focused on bringing out the potential and greatness of others… something beautiful happens. In those moments I feel pure joy and most connected to myself. I can only describe it as alchemy in action and I’m determined to learn how to live more continuously in this magical state of creation and connection.

Thanks for following along on my journey and helping me share the joy around the world.

Have a wonderful day!
